The administration of His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello has done well in this regard, and here we are about to welcome a new government that will not only consolidate on its selfless track record but also do even better. This is an exciting moment for our state, as we have the opportunity to build on the progress already made.

As Progressives, I urge all well-meaning Kogites to see this transition of power as a blessing and urge us all to rally around the new administration for it to succeed.

Together, we can achieve great things for the people of Kogi. By setting aside our differences and working collaboratively, we can create a prosperous and thriving state.

While we may all have our different opinions and views, it is important to set them aside for the development of our dear state. Now is the time to put the interests of Kogi above our personal biases and grievances. Remember, we have no other place to call home than Kogi.

Let us embrace unity and work towards a brighter future for every citizen.

Finally, while we cannot overemphasize or underestimate the role opposition parties play, I urge those in the opposition to work hand in hand with the new government and draw its attention to issue-based matters where and when the need arises. Constructive criticism and collaboration are essential to a functioning democracy.

By engaging in meaningful dialogue, we can bridge the divide and ensure that the needs and concerns of all residents are addressed.

In conclusion, let us approach this new chapter in Kogi’s governance with a sense of optimism and determination.
