Twitter has taken down the verification badges of several well-known Nigerians, including Peter Obi, Bola Tinubu, and President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to checks done by TRIBUNE ONLINE on Thursday, their account’s verification badges have been deleted.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, just rebranded the company, and through his verified account badges he announced the last date for the free Blue badge removal as April 20, 2023.

Further investigation indicated that many celebrities are also impacted by the change.
